We are happy to announce that Peace Camp will be held this summer, July 10th-14th, 9am-3pm at First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis. Cost is $20, and registration is open for children entering into grades K-5.
Peace Camp is a psycho-social program that empowers children with skills for creating peace in themselves and with others. Art, music, and games are used to develop abilities to navigate conflict, anger, and fear and to increase empathy and communication.
Peace Camp focuses on five core subjects: Art and Music, Mindfulness, Connection to Nature, Media Literacy, and Conflict Resolution. These skills can empower children and those around them to make a difference in their communities.
Snacks and lunch will be provided. All financial or in-kind contributions will help build a sustainable peace cultivating program value-assessed at $400 per participant. Volunteer opportunities available.
