Reaching out for counseling takes bravery. At Authentic Hope in Corvallis, we are honored to be part of that step. Our licensed counselors and supervised interns provide thoughtful, person-centered counseling to individuals and families throughout Corvallis and the greater Mid Willamette Valley.

Counseling is about more than solving problems, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply and building the inner resources to face life with greater peace. Whether you're dealing with anxiety that won't quit, a grief that feels bottomless, a relationship in pain, or a transition that caught you off guard, counseling at Authentic Hope offers you a place to land.

We serve people of all backgrounds in Corvallis and throughout Benton County, Oregon. Our approach is affirming, accepting, and deeply respectful of who you are and where you've come from. We believe that every person carries strengths, and our job is to help you find and use them.

Our counselors draw from a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused approaches, and mindfulness. We work with children as young as 3, teens, adults, college students, and families.

As a non-profit, Authentic Hope offers counseling in Corvallis with affordability in mind. We accept most major insurance plans and offer a sliding scale for those who qualify. You deserve support, and we've made it our mission to make that possible.

Q: What's the difference between therapy and counseling?

A: The terms are often used interchangeably. Both involve working with a trained professional to support your mental and emotional health. At Authentic Hope, we use both terms to describe the compassionate, evidence-based work we do with clients across the Mid Willamette Valley.

Q: How long will I be in counseling?

A: This depends on your goals and needs. We offer solution-focused therapy rather than indefinite long-term treatment. Many clients in Corvallis, Albany, and Philomath find meaningful progress within a focused course of sessions.

Q: Which insurances do you accept for counseling in Corvallis?

A: We accept IHN (InterCommunity Health Network), PacificSource, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Moda, Reliant, Providence, United, OHP Direct, Tri-Care, Aetna, and private pay. Not all providers are in-network with every plan, we’ll verify before your first appointment.
