Teen Therapy in Corvallis, Oregon

Being a teenager is hard. The pressure from school, social media, friendships, identity, and the future can feel enormous and sometimes, the people you love the most are the ones hardest to talk to. We offer a safe, non-judgmental space where teens can finally exhale.

Adolescence is one of the most significant and often most turbulent chapters of a person's life. At Authentic Hope, our therapists in Corvallis specialize in working with teens who are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, identity questions, family stress, school pressure, or the unique challenges of growing up in today's world.

We meet teens where they are. That might mean sitting quietly together at first, using creative approaches like sand tray or art, or talking through what's been building for months. Our goal is to build real trust so that real healing can happen.

Teen therapy at Authentic Hope is affirming and accepting of all identities including LGBTQ+ youth. We believe every young person in Corvallis, Albany, Philomath, and across Benton County deserves a place where they are fully seen and fully welcomed.

We also support parents through this process. We know it can be frightening to watch your teen struggle, and we'll work closely with you, with appropriate boundaries, so that healing happens at home too, not just in the therapy room.

Our therapists use approaches including CBT, DBT skills for emotional regulation, art therapy and, mindfulness. We work with what resonates for each individual teen, because no two adolescents are alike.

Q: How do I get my teenager to agree to therapy?

A: This is one of the most common questions we hear from parents. We recommend framing therapy as a space for them, not a punishment or a sign that something is 'wrong' with them.

Q: Do you offer teen therapy for LGBTQ+ youth?

A: Absolutely and wholeheartedly yes. Authentic Hope is an affirming practice. Every teen who walks through our doors is welcomed exactly as they are.
